Langtang Gosaikunda Pass Trekking |

Trekking to Langtang region combined with several treks into one long trek. A Langtang Gosaikunda Pass trekking is the combined trek of Langtang, Gosaikunda and Helambu in one long trek which is the most famous and popular trekking of Nepal. This trek follows the route Syabru Bensi- Lama hotel-Langtang Valley-Kyanjin Gompa-Lama hotel- Thulo Syabru-Sing Gompa-Gosaikunda- Ghopte-Kutumsang-Chisopani-Sundarijal and finally to the Kathmandu.
Gosaikunda Lake is famous as a watering hole for the god Shiva. It has a black rock in the middle, said to be the head of Shiva. According to a legend, Shiva created this high altitude lake when he pierced a glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thrist after consuming poison. There is a white rock under the water that is said to be the remnant of an ancient shrine of Shiva.
Langtang Valley is the famous narrow valley covered by wildflowers and rhododendron. It is surrounded by high peaks and known as the treasure house of the alpine plants.
The trek provides you a chance to acclimatize before crossing through Gosaikunda and Laurebina Pass. The trek starts from Syabru Bensi and ends at Sundarijal. |
