The trek is the combination of Gokyo Chola Pass and Everest Base Camp which are the challenging treks of the Everest Region. After the mountain flight to Lukla, this trek is the most famous trek in the Khumbu Region. Passing through the beautiful forest of rhododendron and Sherpa village you reach to the Gokyo Lake with striking views of Everest, Makalu and Cho Oyu. While climbing Gokyo Ri from Gokyo Valley RI (5357m), also known as Kala Pattar, you can have the panoramic views of Cho Oyu (8201m), Gyachung Kang (7922m), Everest, Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (4063m), Cholaste and Tawachee. After the Chola pass, the trek forwards to Dzongla, Lobuche and Ghorakshep. From Ghorak Shep you will trek to Everest Base Camp and return back to Ghorak Shep following the same route . The trek becomes memorable with the incredible sceneries and the magnificent views of Everest, Ama Dablam (6856m), Kantega (6809m), Kwangde (6194m), Nuptse (7879m), and Lhotse (8511m) and many more. |
