Tsechu:
A relgious festival organized every year by the dzong or the monastery. People from far flung areas jouney to take part in the festival. The festival goes for about two days, in which spiritual information is shared through the mask dances called cham that are similars to the mask dances in Nepal mountains & Tibet. Punakha Dromche & Tsechu are celebrated in the ancient capital of Bhutan, Punakha.
Namgang Kora: The biggest religious event in dzonkha in which devotees from Arunachal Pradesh share their walk to Chorten Kora, a stupa modeled on the Boudhanath stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Tangbi Mani Festival: A four day festival in the ancient land of Bumthang.
Chhimi Lhakhang: Lhakhang means temple. Chimi Lhakhang is celebrated at the Chime Temple in the Lobesa valley bordering Thimpu. |
